Home Apparatus About Us About the Site Companies

  The Brick Springs FD was formed in 1958.  The history goes much further baclk than that though.  Here it is...

How We Were Formed

  Although we were formed in 1958 we can trace our trace our history back to 1950.  In 1950 residents were becoming concerned with the amount of   car accidents on Route 66 which is one of the three streets in the town (it's long not wide).  There was also many car fires of broken down cars.

  Seven residents sat down and decided to start a FD.  They had a load of paper work and FEMA grants to apply for.  After 8 years of hard work the Brick Springs Fire Department.  They operates a used a 1948 American La France 700 series pumper.  In 1968 when the truck was 20 years old it was said that a new engine company would be placed into service with a Peter Pirsch pumper.  This truck is still owned and fully operational.  The 1948 trucks status is currently as an Auxillary Truck somewhere in Lego Land we will try to find out where.

Apparatus

Here is the list of trucks we have used over the years;

Engine 1 Formed 1958: 1948 ALF 700, 1970 Seagrave, 1987 Pierce Lance

Engine 2 Formed in 1968: 1968 Peter Pirsch

Rescue 1 Formed in 1995: 1995 Pierce Lance

Location

Many people and mini-figs wonder where we are lcoated.  We are located on Route 66 in upper Lego Land.  Back in 1970 our city was bypassed by interstate 55.  Our town was extremly quiet and was considered a ghost town.  Luckly in 1980 the town started heating up again.
